Holiday! Celebrate!

Today is the last day of my week long vacation of fun!! It started out leaving at 5am last friday morning. I drove up to bellingham to turn around and go camping on Whidbey Island at for Ebey State Park! It was so fun! Saturday we work up and to the ferry to Port Townsend! I love ferry rides!! We had lunch and walked around and looked at the cute little shops and headed back to Fort Casey! That was fun walking around and exploring the old bunkers!! Kind of scary at times...thank goodness we had boys with us oh wait they tried to scare us hehehehe!!

When I got back in to Bellingham on Sunday afternoon I went over to Mindi's house! What a great time we had! Monday we had lunch at Mindi's work for her friends Bday lunch! We stopped at the dutch bakery to get a fresh raspberry pie! Inside a little grandma came up to me and asked if she knew me because I looked so familiar...I replied with I don't think so I live in Oregon, but she was convinced she knew me! Cute Grandma!! Then we meet up with Erin and shopped around Bellingham for a while. Finally meet up for girls dinner with Andrea! Cassie showed up and brought Iris so i could meet her! It was great to see that girls!

Tuesday we went kayaking in Birch Bay, it was a lot different than river kayaking that is for sure! Still fun! Thank you Mindi for being patient with me!! We sat on the shore and played cards waiting for the Ashmores to come play! It was so fun to see Braxton, Adelle and meet Emmett for the first time! I can't believe he is already 6 months! What a big boy!! Then we meet Heidi for dinner at On Rice! My FAVORITE Thai food place ever!! Then headed to Josh and Zac's Trivia with Erin and Lacey! WOW! We tied for last place...enough said! Still a great time! And we were "the cutest girls in the Bar" (I think they just felt bad for us getting last place :) )

Wednesday we hung out at Mindi's parents house and layed by the pool and then headed into town to get coffee from Erin's new job! Great coffee Erin! Walked to Rod and Beths shop to say hi!! It was great catching up and being able to see them! Thank you Beth for giving us a ride back to our car, it was hot!! :) Then we meet Andrea at Bellis Fair for some shopping, I hope the family photo turned out great Andrea!

We went to dinner at El Gitano and then went over to Mindi's friends house and played Canasta! Great game, me and my partner Tara won!! I redeemed myself after Trivia night thankfully!!

I left bright and early Thursday morning and was home in time to go to softball practice...boy was it hot! Friday I took a load of stuff to the storage unit and then had a restful afternoon laying outside soaking up the sun, I went to the drive in with Renee and the kids in Dallas! So fun!! Then Saturday I meet Annie and her mom and nieces at the pool for some fun in the sun! It was great!! Today I did laundry and took a load of stuff to my new apartment in Albany! Slowly but surely I will be ready for the big move on Saturday!!

So when I was up in Bellingham, Mindi and I walked every morning! It was great and I really enjoy walking. I am not going to join my gym in Albany until the weather gets bad, I will walk and run and workout outside in the sunshine while I can, also saving some money in the mean time!!

Below are a lot of pictures from my amazing holiday...something I could really get used to let me tell you!!

I don't even know where to start. Life is so short and things happen so quickly that will change your whole world. My mom's cousin Tim Fisher had a massive stroke on Friday evening and was rushed to the hospital. I was up there for the majority of the day on Saturday. It was terribly hard. I am a firm believer in all things happen for a reason, but this one really is hard to fit into that. Tim's organs have already been donated to 6 people. What a blessing for those families. It is still very hard for our family. I can't even imagine what it would be like to loose your husband and dad at such a young age. If anything, please keep in mind that tomorrow isn't guaranteed. Live your life to the fullest each and everyday...don't put off important things until tomorrow. Tell your loved ones you love them and frequently. Tim you will be greatly missed!! I love you!!

What a great weekend! I went up with Kelsey to her parents house to help Lynn with her Scentsy Launch party! It was a good start to her business on Saturday! Really nice. Then Kels and I went to Tip a Cop at Red Robin that supports Special Olympics of Oregon! The highlight of the day was the Mr./Ms. CVHS pageant. We went in support of Michael Trujillo. He helps me coach basketball and usually plays softball (he is playing baseball for CV since this is his senior year). What an amazing event. It just warms my heart to see young people going above and beyond the "normal expectations" of them. They raised over $60,000 for Jackson Street Youth Shelter, Oldmill and Sacred Heart down in Eugene! What a great event and a great way to end my Saturday.

Sunday I went to the Tulip Festival in Woodburn, OR with some great friends. I remember going to the Tulip Festival up in Washington growing up but have never been to the Woodburn one. It was a beautiful day and the festival had so many things to do. Bouncy houses, pony rides, play grounds and tractor rides for the kids and a beer/wine garden for the adults (we brought kids so we didn't do the gardens...maybe next year). Oh and did i mention millions of tulips all shapes, sizes and colors! It was beautiful!! here are some pictures of the great day!!

So this weekend I was suppose to go up to Seattle, but with car problems again, i decided against it. So that left me with no plans...yesterday i went to the gym and got stuck watching 16 and pregnant. WOW! Those girls are so young. I am so thankful that i didn't get pregnant that young. It is really hard in general to be a parent but when you your self are still a "kid" it is a millions times harder and you have lots of different pressures. I am also thankful that i am going to be older and more mature when i start having kids. Sometimes (okay a lot of the time) i get pretty sad that i haven't started a family yet. But just by watching that show it makes me thankful that i haven't. Because i know that it is a great responsibility and very very hard. I want to have a husband there to support me and not have to do it all alone! I will have a family one day and it will be prefect, so i just need to wait for it and not get overly anxious. :)

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Yahoo! Summer is getting closer :)

The car is back! Thank goodness! I am a very independent person and I really really hate relying on others. For anything, and this last week and a half I have had to rely on several people for several things. I am so grateful that I have amazing family and friends that are there for me no matter what the problem!

I know that I wouldn't be the person I am today if it weren't for my family and friends. I feel so blessed to have people in my life that are willing to stop whatever they are doing, or go out of their way to help me. Here are some examples of how everyone helped me out!

When I found out how much my car was going to cost, I had an anxiety attack I am sure of it. I called my dad and told him the deal and how much i could come up with. In a heart beat he said he would talk to mom and we would figure out how to come up with the rest!! Family - you can't live without them that is for sure!!

My friend Kelsey picked me up and took me with her to her parents house to take my mind off of what was going on. She did a great job, because i honestly didn't think about it until we were going to bed that night!!

My sister came and took me grocery shopping (even though she was moving in two days and had a ton of stuff to do) so i would have groceries all week.

Tony took me to and from work for 5 days. He even took me to Local Boys one day because i was sick of making food!!

My friend Renee offered me here car while she was at work so I could run errands. My friend Dawn also offered me one of her families "spare" cars while mine was in the shop.

So many kind people in my life! I LOVE IT!

Thank you all so much. You keep me sane!

Happy Easter everyone!

What a great weekend I have had! It started out with my parents picking me up on friday evening on their way up to my grandparents house. We all went out to the farm. My parents left Saturday morning early to take my sister a bunch of her stuff up in Seattle. I was able to borrow their car since they took my grandparents truck up. Saturday night was my friend Rhonda's Surprise 50th bday party! What a blast! So fun! Thank you Rhonda for making me dance! LOVED it!

Went to a beautiful Easter Service with my grandparents this morning and then had a yummy lunch! Still so full!! Dad came back down from Seattle today at lunch and then brought me home, he is headed back down to Medford (he has work), while my mom will be up with Steph for the week, I am headed up Friday to see her new place and then bring mom back with me on Sunday. Cant wait to see her new "life"! So exciting for her!

In case you all haven't heard she got accepted into Macy's executive training program, which starts in June, but was able to get a job for the in between time (she graduated at the end of March from OSU in Fashion Merchandising). So she is up in Seattle all ready! Yahoo! We are so proud of her.

Well the car is still in the shop and hopefully (cross your fingers) is ready Monday. I have a busy week of getting the Special Olympics Summer coaches the medical packets for their first practices so i really really need my car!!

Well i am off to watch New Moon again (probably like my 10th time now hehehe) and sort medical packets!

I am so thankful for my amazing family and friends! LOVE YOU ALL, and Happy Easter!

Happy Wednesday!!

All day at work today all i was thinking about was my blog and how excited i was! Everyone at work thought i was silly for being so excited! But it is the small things that get us through the day right?!!? I was thinking about some topics of things i can blog about...my books for book club, working out and training for different runs etc., movies that i have seen that i like, family and friends, and of course all of my great dating mishaps! The dating mishaps will probably be the funniest and i cant wait to share them with you all.

For today, i will blog about how excited I am for softball season to start for Special Olympics. I have played softball/fast pitch since kindergarten. I love the sport with all of my heart. However in my old age...hehehe...i find that just standing in the outfield or on the side lines cheering is my favorite. Oh and i guess hitting (who doesn't love that). okay and really not even standing in the outfield...because then if a ball is hit to me, i will most likely drop it (i still haven't adjusted to the glasses and playing yet) and then i will look silly and i will try to blame it on the sun...which is a lie...so my favorite part is actually batting and standing on the side lines cheering. But reguardless i am pretty excited for it to start. I love being around the partners and atheletes. It makes my heart happy! I love the smell of freshly cut grass and i am keeping my fingers crossed it doesn't rain for our first practice!! I will keep you posted with the progress of our season and hopefully post some pictures of our tournament in June! I am actually off to sort all of the medical forms for the coaches for the summer sports that all start next week, just one of the duties i have being the Medical Coordinator for Benton County Special Olympics (and by far my least favorite task) :(

Enjoy your night all! And thank you to all my followers! PEACE!
